This concrete arch was built in 1904. It replaced the damaged original deck iron double intersection warren truss bridge built in 1884. The arch is 20' from the water and at a 45 degree skew. The cut stone abutments of the bridge were left in place and parts of the concrete poured over them. Today the spalling concrete has broken away revealing the stone in these places. The concrete of the arch was poured in two stages, resulting in a weak line in the arch.
